OVERVIEW
Fall back into love with yourself during a week at the Burlamacchi Estate, dating back to the XV century, consists of 2 villas totaling 8,600 sqft, which are surrounded by vast, private, terraced gardens leading to a small forest, ancient stones, and marble seats among rose bushes and other scented flowers. It is only a 5-minute walk to the town center of Bagni di Lucca where you will find shops, bars, restaurants, and plenty of culture.
OUR DAYS
Our days will be filled with daily yoga and meditation, massages, facials, tarot readings, Venus/ cacao ceremony, new moon circle, family constellations, wine tour, city tour, cooking class plus we’ll have our very own private chef preparing our breakfasts and gourmet dinners that we’ll enjoy outdoors under the Tuscan stars.
THE VILLAS
Burlamacchi Villas is a complex of 2 luxury CATERED villas -'San Francesco' and 'Casa Burlamacchi'- rented as a unique property with a private pool, both completely restored in 2009 and 2020/21, which date back respectively to XIX and XV century. The complex, together with a small number of nearby houses and villas, lay on an enjoyable and privileged position, within easy reach of the town center of Bagni di Lucca (5 minutes walk), where a good number of shops, bars, and restaurants can be found.
The local Spa resorts are situated at a short distance from the Villa (1 km) and are reachable for a leisurely walk in the green. Immersed in a typical Tuscan landscape, it is an ideal destination for those looking for a relaxing holiday amongst serene surroundings with culture and other diversions close to hand. Both villas are three-floor constructions for a total of 800 square meters. There is a professional kitchen where the chef will prepare you typical Tuscan and Italian meals, and an equipped kitchen for guests available for snacks and drinks, and plenty of common areas including four living rooms.
The interiors, accurately and elegantly redecorated with XVIII and XIX century furniture, are typical of the residences of the region of Lucca. The precious and light fabrics, the meticulous attention to detail, and interior lighting make all the environments very warm, cozy, and comfortable.
SURROUNDING AREA
'Villa San Francesco' and the back of 'Casa Burlamacchi' face the garden, which is spacious with a fabulous view of the Tuscan valley and mountains. There is rich vegetation in the meadow and big ancient earthenware basins with flowers. The range opposite the villa is large, both with areas exposed to the sun and areas are hidden in the shadow. There is a big table with chairs and various pieces of garden furniture made of wood and wrought iron. The place is most suitable for resting, reading, or talking in the shades of secular trees. It’s also perfect for having a typical Tuscany dinner during a cool refreshing evening. Adjacent to the villas, running down along the hillside, there is a vast area of private terraced gardens leading to a small forest. Here and there one can find ancient stones and marble garden seats rose bushes and other scented flowers. Our villa is an ideal place both for those who search for peace and intimacy within the luxurious building immersed in green foliage.
THE TOWN OF LUCCA
Lucca is a splendid medieval city located in the northwest of Tuscany. The ancient walls that surround it, dating back to the early sixteenth century, have remained intact and can be explored on foot or by bicycle. Nicknamed "the city of a hundred churches" for the large number of magnificent religious buildings, Lucca offers the opportunity to visit towers, squares, and palaces whose charm has remained intact over the centuries.
Outside the walls, it is possible to admire the enchanting countryside of Lucca with the churches and villas famous all over the world. Both inside the historic center and outside there are excellent restaurants where you can taste the typical dishes of the local tradition.

Group transfer provided from Pisa on start/end day of the retreat. ARRIVAL pick up will be at 2 pm on start day, and DEPARTURE from the villa will be at 12 pm on end day. For guests arriving at other times, I can provide recommendations for a private driver or public transportation.
