Unlocking the past to heal the present & future...
Family Constellations is a tool developed by Bert Hellinger to heal trauma within the family system. Our ancestors have passed down their traumas to us through our family lines. These traumas show up in our lives as relationship challenges, difficulty with success and finances, illness, depression, addiction, and overall unhappiness. They don't show up just to make our lives miserable; they show up to reveal where we can remove blocks and restore the flow of love within our family system. Family Constellation therapy does this by consciously entering into what is called the knowing field, where we are able to tap into the energies of our family systems, where it is revealed to us, through representatives, which side of our family, mother or father is involved and how many generations back the trauma began in which our fates are currently entangled. These entanglements cause us to subconsciously continue to carry the traumas that belong to our ancestors. During the constellations, we are able to acknowledge and honor our ancestors and hand their fates back to them as we accept our own, freeing us to live a life of joy and happiness with the ability to write our own story.
During the Family Constellation session, no matter if you are the one constellating, representing, or sitting in the circle observing, all present during the session are healing their own family systems of whatever the field is revealing. There are no coincidences when it comes to the constellations. In fact, it is through your desire to heal your life and live a life free to experience love, success, freedom, and joy that connects you with the family constellations.
It is your family system, your own ancestors leading you here, and you are the one answering the call because you possess the courage and love that your family system needs to heal it.
Kimberlee was first introduced to the family constellations in 2013 and became actively involved with them in 2020. Over the years, as a professional astrologer, she discovered where her clients carry ancestral traumas that prevent them from living their best lives. She can see in their natal charts which side of their family this karma stems from and how it affects them psychologically and spiritually, causes them to repeat unwanted patterns, and is holding them back. When she informs her clients about the ancestral trauma they are carrying, they always are stunned that she knows their “family secrets,” and they immediately want to know how to resolve them.
Becoming a Family Constellations facilitator was Kimberlee's most natural next step as she felt drawn to and passionate about the Constellations as she did when she first began her career with astrology. She feels that combining her astrological talents with what is revealed in “the field” enables her to help her clients at the most profound level.
Family Constellations sessions can be done within a group setting, one-on-one, in person, or via Zoom.
Our physical bodies store the distress and tension from the past, be it hurtful incidents during our youth or traumas inherited over generations.
Constellations are an interactive way to explore how trauma and pain can be passed down within families and how to heal it.
They offer a holistic, body-centered, 3-dimensional experience that empowers individuals to untangle the web of suffering.
With Constellation, you can bring your ideas to life in person by having individuals represent different parts of the system or conveniently do it online. You can even do it by just using your imagination!
How is trauma passed down through generations?
When our ancestors experienced traumas in their personal lives that caused mental illness, addiction, and other challenging events, there was often a break in the flow of love from one generation to the next. We do not receive what we need from our parents when they are dealing with their own trauma.
Epigenetics has identified a powerful correlation between our DNA and the traumas that our ancestors endured. Our genes are surrounded by a protein sheath that contains information on their unique experiences. Astonishingly, researchers have the ability to examine the physical evidence in our bodies, which reflects the traumatic events endured by our ancestors. This includes genocide, famine, enslavement, natural calamities, and wars.
Another way trauma is passed from generation to generation is, quite literally, through the bodies of our mothers and grandmothers.
The cells that formed us during our mother's gestation in our grandmother's womb are always a part of us, and thus, we live the lives of many generations all at once. Our core being is indelibly tied to our transgenerational lineage.
How do constellations help us heal trauma?
Constellations are very helpful in healing trauma because providing understanding for humans can do wonders for their well-being. You can be truly known and accepted by others through constellations, ultimately leading to a sense of comfort and healing.
Constellations can be really effective in helping people work through trauma as it acknowledges how the brain stores traumatic memories - so that even when we thought we had moved beyond the experience, they still exist today and can often make us feel isolated and alone, just like at the time of trauma.
Our brain stores memories in two ways, the amygdala and hippocampus. With enough focus, we can return to a tough time and transfer the memory from the amygdala to the hippocampus with sufficient resonance and support. When the memory has been securely tucked away, it ceases to exist in our immediate reality and becomes part of our distant past that we can assimilate.
Constellations are effective in treating trauma because of the power of understanding. This healing method helps us to be seen and understood by others, which is what brings us peace and contentment. Constellations are incredible and can be used as a tool for healing. As you create more of them, they will continue to generate a powerful energy field.
Family constellations for me was very emotional. It was a different way of healing myself, and in a very safe environment. It was deep and I didn't expect that at first. I have done it many times and will do it again.
